Pantry Moth Larva / Indian Meal Moth Larva

Pantries, kitchens, stored food products, grain processing facilities, and warehouses.

Feeds on dry plant-based foods including grains, flour, cereal, nuts, dried fruits, seeds, spices, and pet food.

Larvae spin silken webbing as they crawl through and feed on food products. When ready to pupate, they often crawl away from the food source onto walls, ceilings, and cracks in cabinetry.

No health or sting risks to humans or pets, but they are major household pests that contaminate stored food items with webbing, frass, and shed skins, requiring infested items to be discarded.
