Western Conifer Seed Bug

Found in coniferous forests, woodlands, and frequently invades homes seeking shelter in autumn.

Feeds on developing seeds and cones of conifers using piercing-sucking mouthparts.

Emits a foul-smelling odor when disturbed and gathers in large groups on sunlit walls during cooler months.

Harmless to humans and pets, does not bite or transmit disease, but can be a minor agricultural pest for conifer seeds.
