Moth fly larva (Drain fly)

Moist areas with organic decomposition, such as drains, septic tanks, and damp soil.

Scavenging on decaying organic matter, sewage, and the nutrient-rich slime/biofilm in pipes.

Nocturnal; the larvae live in semi-aquatic environments like drain pipes and feed until pupation, after which they emerge as fuzzy adult flies.

Harmless to humans as they do not bite; they act as decomposers but can be a nuisance indicating a buildup of organic debris.
