Behavior Patterns
Adults can fly and are attracted to light. Females chew holes into grain kernels to lay eggs, and the larvae develop entirely inside the grain.
Risks & Benefits
Significant economic pest that ruins stored food products; however, they pose no direct health risk or physical danger to humans or pets.
