Household Casebearer moth larva

Indoor environments, found on walls or floors in humid, tropical, and subtropical climates.

Scavenges on wool, spider webs, hair, dead insects, and natural fibers.

Larvae construct a protective silk case covered in sand and debris. They can turn around inside the case and feed from either end.

Generally harmless to humans; however, it is a household pest that can damage woolen fabrics and natural-fiber clothing.
