Drugstore Beetle / Bread Beetle

Commonly found in domestic kitchens, commercial warehouses, and pantries where dry food is stored.

Broad range of dried plant and animal products, including bread, flour, cereal, nuts, spices, and even medicinal herbs.

Adults are active fliers and are attracted to light; they do not feed as adults. The larvae do most of the damage by tunneling through food sources.

Major pest of stored food products and can damage collections like books or leather; however, they pose no direct physical health risk to humans beyond food contamination.
