Vegetation-rich habitats, including gardens, woodland edges, meadows, and orchards, especially where woody plants and grasses grow together.

Nymphs and adults pierce plant tissues and suck xylem fluid from shrubs, trees, vines, and herbaceous plants.

Adults are strong jumpers and short-distance fliers, often resting on windows or other vertical surfaces. They overwinter as eggs or nymphs depending on climate, with several generations possible in warm regions.

Usually harmless to people and not an indoor pest. Feeding can cause minor plant stress, and this species may transmit some plant pathogens, but leafhoppers also serve as prey for birds, spiders, and predatory insects.
