Natural Habitat
Typically found in dark, damp environments such as basements, cellars, caves, and garages, often near ceilings or in corners.
Diet & Feeding
Primarily carnivorous, feeding on flies, mosquitoes, and even other spiders much larger than themselves.
Behavior Patterns
Known for the 'vibrating' or 'shaking' behavior when disturbed to blur their image for predators. They build messy, irregular webs and are generally sedentary.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to humans as their fangs are rarely able to penetrate skin; highly beneficial for natural pest control of indoor insects.
