Bed Bug

Indoor environments, primarily in cracks and crevices of beds, mattresses, furniture, and wall voids.

Blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals, feeding primarily at night.

Nocturnal, highly secretive, hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed. They do not fly or jump, but crawl rapidly.

Risks include itchy, red bite marks, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and significant psychological distress and anxiety. No ecological or human health benefits.
