Flat Bug

Typically found on or under the loose bark of dead or dying trees, logs, and bracket fungi.

Mycophagous; it feeds on the juices of fungi, particularly those growing on deacying wood.

Extremely flattened body allow them to live in tight crevices. They are often slow-moving and rely on camouflage to blend in with bark and lichen.

They pose no risk to humans or pets. They are beneficial to the forest ecosystem as they assist in the decomposition process of wood and fungi.
