Strictly carnivorous; feeds on other small arthropods including bed bugs, silverfish, carpet beetles, and termites.
Behavior Patterns
Nymphs exhibit a unique camouflage behavior by covering their bodies with dust, lint, and debris using sticky secretions. They are primarily nocturnal predators.
Risks & Benefits
Beneficial as a natural pest control for bed bugs and wood-boring insects. However, they can deliver a very painful defensive bite to humans if handled or provoked.
