Nocturnal, hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Can cause itchy welts, allergic reactions, and psychological distress; they are significant household pests but do not transmit diseases.
