Tropical regions, often found near walls, under logs, or in homes where prey is present

Predatory; feeds primarily on ants, but also eats other small insects

Known for camouflaging itself by piling the empty carcasses of its prey and dusty debris onto its back to hide from predators

Benefits the ecosystem by controlling pest populations; however, can deliver a painful bite to humans if handled, though they are not medically significant
