Bed Bug

Human dwellings, specifically in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophagy; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive; they use heat and carbon dioxide to locate hosts, feed for 3-10 minutes, and then retreat to hide for digestion and mating.

Risks include itchy skin welts, allergic reactions, anxiety, and insomnia. They are not known to transmit diseases but are significant psychological and financial pests.
