Carpet Beetle (Larva)

Found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, carpets, baseboards, and inside heating ducts where natural fibers accumulate.

Feeds on animal-based materials including wool, silk, feathers, leather, fur, pet hair, and occasionally stored grains.

The larval stage is mobile and actively searches for dark spaces to feed. They avoid light and can damage fabrics and carpets significantly over time.

Risks include damage to clothing, rugs, and upholstery. They can also trigger allergic reactions and skin irritation in some individuals due to their shed hairs.
