Natural Habitat

Herbivorous; feeds on the sap of grasses, various herbaceous plants, and clovers.
Behavior Patterns
They are active in cooler temperatures of spring and fall. They do not fly and often migrate into homes in huge numbers when the grass dries out or weather changes.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or transmit disease; however, they can leave a reddish stain if crushed on surfaces.
