Likely case-bearing clothes moth larva

Indoors, especially closets, carpets, and storage areas containing wool, fur, feathers, or other animal fibers.

Larvae feed on keratin-containing materials, including wool, silk, fur, feathers, and lint; adults do not feed on fabrics.

The larva carries a spindle-shaped fiber case and retreats into it when disturbed. It pupates inside the case; adults are small, nocturnal moths.

Larvae can damage clothing, rugs, and stored textiles. They are not dangerous to people or pets.
