Cockroach (likely brown-banded cockroach)

Warm, dry indoor areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, furniture, and appliances; it may also occur in sheltered outdoor locations.

Omnivorous scavengers feeding on crumbs, grease, starches, sweets, dead insects, and organic residues.

Mostly nocturnal and fast-moving; it hides in narrow cracks during the day. Females glue egg cases to protected surfaces, and development proceeds through several nymphal stages.

It can contaminate food and surfaces with pathogens, shed skins, and feces, and may aggravate allergies or asthma. Ecologically, cockroaches recycle organic matter and serve as prey for many animals.
