Bed bug (likely shed skin or crushed specimen)

Beds, upholstered furniture, cracks, baseboards, and other sheltered indoor sites near sleeping hosts.

Feeds exclusively on blood, primarily from humans but sometimes other warm-blooded animals; adults and nymphs bite exposed skin.

Nocturnal and cryptic, hiding in crevices during daylight. Females lay eggs in protected cracks, and infestations spread through luggage, clothing, furniture, and wall voids.

Bites cause itching and allergic reactions but bed bugs are not established disease vectors. They provide no meaningful household or ecosystem benefit.
