Drugstore Beetle

Pantropical and found worldwide in homes, warehouses, and locations where dry food is stored.

Highly varied; feeds on dried plant products like flour, cereal, bread, spices, and non-edible items such as books, leather, and wood.

They are strong fliers and are attracted to light; females lay eggs on food sources, and larvae tunnel through the material as they eat.

A major pest of stored products and historical museum collections; however, they pose no direct health hazard to humans or pets.
