Woodlouse (sowbug)

Damp, sheltered places such as under stones, leaf litter, and rotting wood; may wander indoors in humid areas.

Feeds mainly on decaying plant material, fungi, and other organic debris.

A terrestrial crustacean, active mostly in moist conditions and prone to curling up when disturbed. Needs humid shelter to avoid drying out.

Harmless to people and pets; helps break down dead plant matter. Large numbers may indicate excess moisture indoors.
