Cellar spider (likely long-bodied cellar spider)

Common indoors in corners, cellars, garages, sheds, and other dim, undisturbed locations. It builds loose, irregular webs near ceilings and windows.

Feeds mainly on flies, mosquitoes, moths, and other small arthropods caught in its web. It may also capture and eat other spiders, including larger species.

It hangs upside down in its web and rapidly vibrates when disturbed, making its body difficult to see. Females carry a small egg cluster in their jaws; young spiderlings remain near the web after hatching.

Harmless to people and not medically significant. It benefits homes by consuming nuisance insects and some pest spiders.
