Diet & Feeding

Insectivorous; eats crickets, mealworms, and other small invertebrates

Behavior Patterns

Crepuscular and terrestrial. They shed their skin (ecdysis) in one piece or large chunks and often eat the shed to recycle nutrients and hide their scent from predators.

Harmless to humans and popular as low-maintenance pets. Benefit the ecosystem by controlling insect populations.
