Household Casebearer / Plaster Bagworm

Found indoors on walls, in closets, and under furniture, especially in warm, humid climates.

The larvae feed on spider webs, wool, hair, and natural fibers.

The larva constructs a protective silk case covered with sand, soil, and lint. It can turn around inside the case to eat or move from either end.

Harmless to humans but can occasionally damage clothing or fabrics made of silk or wool; primarily a household nuisance.
