Microscopic fungi, mold, algae, and starchy organic matter like book bindings and wallpaper glue.

They are primarily nocturnal and highly sensitive to humidity. They are not true lice and do not bite humans or animals.

Potential risk of contaminating stored dry goods; however, they are harmless to humans and pets. They can indicate a humidity or mold problem in the home.
