Smooth Spider Beetle

Commonly found indoors in structures, pantries, warehouses, and granaries, often in dark or damp areas.

Scavenger of organic materials including dried fruits, seeds, grain, animal droppings, and miscellaneous debris.

Slow-moving, flightless, and nocturnal. Its appearance mimics a spider due to its rounded body and long legs, though it is a beetle with six legs.

Primarily a nuisance pest that can contaminate stored food products. They do not bite humans or pets and do not cause structural damage.
