Dust mite

Indoor environments, specifically in mattresses, pillows, carpets, and upholstered furniture where humidity and warmth are present.

Shed human and animal skin flakes (dander), fungi, and organic debris.

They thrive in warm, humid environments (above 50% humidity), are microscopic and largely inactive visually, and reproduce rapidly under favorable indoor conditions.

Risks include triggering severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and skin irritation in sensitive individuals due to their waste products and decomposing bodies. They do not bite or transmit infectious diseases.
