Green Stink Bug

Found in orchards, gardens, woodlands, and agricultural fields across North America.

Herbivorous. Uses piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on a wide variety of plants, fruits, and seeds, including tomatoes, beans, and peaches.

Notable for releasing a foul-smelling liquid from thoracic glands when threatened. They are active during the day and undergo incomplete metamorphosis from egg to nymph to adult.

Considered a major agricultural pest due to its ability to damage cash crops and fruit harvests. They pose no direct physical danger to humans but can be a nuisance if they enter homes during cold weather.
