Found indoors in houses, often near windows, and outdoors under bark, in leaf litter, or in bird nests.

Predatory insect that feeds on other arthropods, including bed bugs, woodlice, earwigs, and spiders.

Nocturnal hunters that camouflage themselves by covering their nymphs in dust and debris. They do not feed on humans, though they can deliver a painful defensive bite if handled or accidentally compressed.

Benefit: Acts as a natural pest controller by preying on household pests like bed bugs. Risk: Can deliver a very painful defensive bite, though they are not aggressive toward humans and do not vector diseases.
