Small dark beetle (likely a carpet beetle adult)

Indoors on walls, windowsills, carpets, upholstery, and stored textiles; adults may enter from flowers or outdoors.

Adults feed mainly on pollen and nectar or may not feed. Larvae consume animal-based fibers and debris, including wool, fur, feathers, and dead insects.

Adults are slow-moving and often found near light or windows; larvae hide in dark, undisturbed areas and shed bristly skins while developing.

Larvae can damage clothing, carpets, and natural-fiber materials, and their hairs may irritate sensitive skin. They are otherwise harmless and contribute to decomposition outdoors.
