Carnivorous; feeds on small insects such as flies, mosquitoes, and smaller spiders by stalking and pouncing.

Behavior Patterns

Diurnal active hunters that use keen eyesight and hydraulic pressure to jump large distances. They do not build webs for hunting but use silk as a safety line.

Risks & Benefits

Beneficial as they control household and garden pests. They are generally harmless to humans, as they are not aggressive and their venom is not medically significant.
