Natural Habitat
Cracks and crevices in bedrooms, including mattress seams, bed frames, and behind baseboards.
Diet & Feeding
Blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal insects that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. These specimens appear to be shed exoskeletons (exuviae) left behind after molting.
Risks & Benefits
Primary risk is itchy, red welts from bites and potential allergic reactions. They do not transmit diseases but cause significant stress, sleep deprivation, and financial cost for eradication.
