Warm, dry locations inside buildings, often in high places like upper cabinets, behind pictures, or in electronics and appliance motors.

Opportunistic omnivore that consumes starchy materials like book bindings, wallpaper paste, and stamps, as well as general food scraps and organic matter.

Primarily nocturnal and very active; unlike other roaches that prefer kitchens/bathrooms, these scatter throughout the home. They go through incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Considered a significant indoor pest that can carry and spread bacteria, protozoa, and viruses. They can cause allergic reactions and asthma in sensitive individuals. They provide no significant benefits in human environments.
