Booklouse

Found in warm, humid indoor environments such as kitchens, libraries, and bathrooms.

Feeds on microscopic molds, fungi, starchy book bindings, and dry stored food products.

Active runners that cannot jump or fly, often congregating in damp areas during spring and summer.

Harmless to humans and structures, but large numbers can contaminate stored food and indicate excess indoor humidity.
