Cockroach Ootheca (Egg Case)

Indoor environments such as kitchens, bathrooms, pantries, and dark, humid cracks or crevices near food and water sources.

Non-feeding stage. The developing embryos consume the protein-rich yolk contained within the egg casing.

Female cockroaches deposit or glue the capsule-like egg case in secure, secluded, and warm spots to protect the eggs until hatching.

Risks: Indicates an active cockroach infestation. Hatching produces dozens of nymphs that can contaminate surfaces, spread bacteria, trigger asthma, and cause allergies. Benefits: None in indoor household settings.
