Ground Spider

Found under rocks, logs, leaf litter, and occasionally indoors near baseboards.

Carnivorous; they are active hunters that prey on other small insects and spiders.

Night hunters that do not spin webs for catching prey. They use silk to create retreats for molting and egg-laying.

Harmless to humans; their venom is not medically significant. Benefit the ecosystem by controlling pest insect populations.
