Household Casebearer

Typically found inside houses, on walls, or under furniture in warm, humid climates.

Larvae feed on spider webs and natural fibers such as wool, silk, and felt.

The larva constructs a protective silken case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It is capable of turning around inside the case to protrude from either end.

They are nuisance pests that can damage natural fiber clothing and textiles but are generally harmless to humans and pets.
