Jumping Spider

Found worldwide in diverse environments including tropical forests, temperate forests, grasslands, scrublands, deserts, and urban areas.

Primarily carnivorous, feeding on various insects and even other spiders; some species are known to feed on nectar.

Active hunters with excellent vision; they do not build webs to catch prey but use silk for safety lines while jumping and for building retreat nests.

Generally harmless to humans and rarely bite unless threatened. Highly beneficial to ecosystems and gardens as they control pest insect populations.
