Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Fields, orchards, gardens, and urban buildings, especially around windows and doors in fall.

Herbivorous; feeds on fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and agricultural crops by piercing plant tissues and sucking plant juices.

Attracted to light and heat; congregates in warm structures during autumn to overwinter; releases a pungent defensive odor when threatened or crushed.

Harmless to humans and pets (does not bite, sting, or cause structural damage), but is a significant agricultural pest and a nuisance when invading homes.
