Western Conifer Seed Bug

Found in coniferous forests and frequently enters homes in autumn seeking shelter.

Feeds on seeds and developing cones of conifer trees using piercing-sucking mouthparts.

Overwinters as an adult in sheltered locations, emitting a strong foul odor when disturbed.

Harmless to humans and pets, but can become a structural nuisance indoors during cold months.
