Cockroach (likely brown-banded cockroach)

Warm, dry indoor areas such as kitchens, wall voids, furniture, appliances, and upper cabinets; unlike many cockroaches, it does not require high humidity.

Omnivorous scavengers feeding on crumbs, starches, grease, sweets, dead insects, glue, and other organic debris.

Primarily nocturnal, fast-moving, and secretive; it hides in cracks by day. Females glue egg cases to concealed surfaces, and adults can spread through buildings via furniture, packaging, and appliances.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and may worsen allergies or asthma through feces, shed skins, and body fragments. It has no meaningful household benefit, though cockroaches generally contribute to decomposition outdoors.
