Natural Habitat

Indoors, especially warm, sheltered areas near food, moisture, and crevices; some species also live outdoors.

Omnivorous scavenger, feeding on crumbs, organic debris, and other available food.

Typically nocturnal and quick to hide; young nymphs resemble small, wingless adults and molt as they grow.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and may worsen allergies or asthma. Ecologically, cockroaches recycle decaying organic matter.
