Nocturnal feeders that hide in dark, sheltered cracks during the day. They are attracted to warmth and carbon dioxide emitted by sleeping hosts.

Risks: Infestations cause itchy, red skin welts, potential secondary skin infections from scratching, allergic reactions, stress, and insomnia. Benefits: None.
