Carpet Beetle (Larva)

Indoor environments, inside carpets, furniture, closets, and dark corners where animal fibers accumulate.

Keratin and protein-based materials including wool, silk, leather, feathers, pet hair, and dead insects.

Larvae prefer dark, undisturbed areas and avoid light. They molt multiple times as they grow before pupating into adult beetles.

Risks include damaging fabrics, clothing, rugs, and stored woolens. They do not bite humans or transmit diseases, but shedding hairs can sometimes cause skin irritation.
