A fast-moving predator that eats insects and other small arthropods, including flies, spiders, and silverfish.

Nocturnal and extremely quick, with long legs and antennae. It hides in cracks and lays eggs in protected, humid sites.

Generally harmless and beneficial for controlling household pests. It may bite if handled, but bites are uncommon and usually mild.
