Pierces plant cells and sucks sap, causing stippling, bronzing, and leaf decline.
Behavior Patterns
Often lives in colonies beneath fine silk webbing; populations increase rapidly in hot, dry weather, with eggs and multiple generations produced during a season.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to people and pets but can seriously damage crops and ornamentals. Predatory mites, lady beetles, and lacewings help control it.
