Behavior Patterns
The larvae are known for rolling or folding a leaf and tying it with silk to create a protective shelter while they feed. Adults are primarily nocturnal and are attracted to lights.
Risks & Benefits
Considered a minor pest in commercial vineyards as heavy infestations can reduce the photosynthetic capacity of the vines. They provide a food source for birds and parasitic wasps.
