Green sweat bee (likely)

Gardens, meadows, woodland edges, and other flower-rich habitats; many nest in soil, leaf litter, or rotting wood.

Adults feed on flower nectar and pollen; females collect pollen to provision larvae.

Usually solitary or primitively social, with females nesting in small cavities. They may be attracted to perspiration for its salt but are generally nonaggressive.

Low risk: females can sting, but rarely do so unless trapped or handled. Important pollinators of wildflowers and crops.
