Carpet beetle

Indoors in homes, particularly in dark, undisturbed areas like closets, carpets, and around baseboards.

Larvae feed on animal-based fibers such as wool, silk, leather, feathers, and pet hair.

Larvae avoid light and actively chew on natural fabrics. Adults fly and feed on pollen and nectar outdoors.

Risks include damage to clothing, carpets, and upholstery. They do not bite humans or transmit diseases.
