Casebearing Clothes Moth Larva

Indoors within closets, carpets, upholstered furniture, attics, and storage areas containing natural animal fibers.

Feeds on keratin-rich animal-derived natural materials including wool, feathers, fur, hair, lint, felt, and leather.

The larva constructs a portable cylindrical case out of silk and woven debris/fibers, dragging this protective shelter along as it feeds and moving inside it to pupate.

Harmless to humans and pets as it does not bite, sting, or spread disease, but it is a household pest capable of causing significant damage to clothing, textiles, rugs, and upholstery.
